Krispy Kreme introduces its first-ever mini Easter egg donuts

When it comes to sweet Easter treats, there’s something special about the seasonal donuts we get from Krispy Kreme. And just in time for Easter 2022, not only are we getting new holiday donuts, but they’re a little discounted.

What does that mean exactly? This means that this year, our seasonal donuts are actually mini-sized Easter eggs!

That’s right! For the very first time, Krispy Kreme offers us “mini egg fritters”. No, these aren’t real eggs, they’re just made to look like the decorative eggs we might hunt after the Easter Bunny hides.

Not only will we have a fan favorite in this collection of donuts, but there are also three new flavors and designs to enjoy. So what are the cutest (and most delicious) donuts this season?

Introducing Krispy Kreme’s First-Ever Adorable Shell-Filled Spring Minis

The four eggs (three eggs and one chick actually) that we can choose from are:

• Mini chicken donut – This is a returning favourite, but for those unfamiliar with Chick, it’s “An unglazed mini shell filled with white Kreme™, dipped in yellow frosting, then half-dipped in white sanding sugar and decorated as a chick with yellow, orange and chocolate frosting. Sounds adorable and amazing, right?
• Mini Strawberry Kreme™ Donut – For this one, we get another unglazed mini shell, but this time after filling it with white Kreme, it’s dipped in strawberry icing before being topped with a sprinkle of pastel sprinkles. It’s a beauty and definitely the egg we were looking for.
• Mini egg donut with cake batter – Take your unglazed mini shell, fill it with Kreme cake batter, drizzle strips of light blue frosting, then cover it with pastel-sized mini nonpareils. It’s a delightful take on a classic Easter egg design.
• Mini Chocolate Egg Fritter – For this unglazed mini shell, we stuff it with a classic chocolate Kreme before dipping it in chocolate frosting, then coating it with stripes of yellow and light blue.

Basically, what we have here are delicious treats that look like Easter! And since it makes perfect sense, we are here for it.
