It’s been a celebratory year for Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay.
Last weekend, the 36-year-old franchise frontman tied the knot with his now-wife Veronika Khomyn. Along with celebrating his new life partnership, he also celebrated his team’s Super Bowl win with a custom cake design.
McVay’s wedding cake was an identical replica of the Lombardi Trophy.
The Rams head coach took a bite of the cake and raised his fist in celebration.
McVay met Khomyn when he was an assistant coach at Washington. The Lombardi Trophy clearly means a lot to her too.
“I’ve seen this guy grind non-stop. Day after day. No breaks. He always puts everyone first, and winning this Lombardi Trophy for his team, his family, his friends… is a dream come true! !! I love you baby, you deserve a million this time. Winning tastes so good!” Speedwell wrote on Instagram after the Super Bowl.
Several notable players from the Rams’ Super Bowl-winning team were in attendance at McVay’s wedding on Saturday. Superstar pass rusher Aaron Donald attended the event just before agreeing to the massive restructuring of his contract.
“We felt the trend was going in the right direction when he was at my wedding on Saturday night,” McVay said, by ESPN.
Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. also crushed the party.
“I love Odell and only in Odell’s way could he be the marriage breaker at our marriage,” McVay said. “So O showed up, arranged the wedding, and I loved it.”
