Everyone can agree that one of the most popular foods in the world, in the United States and in New Jersey is Italian cuisine. Everyone enjoys a good Italian meal and going out for Italian is always a fun and delicious night out. We have fantastic Italian restaurants around the Jersey Shore, but love food recently wrote an article listing the best Italian restaurants in the nation, including here in the Garden State.
I recently had a seafood scampi dish which was delicious, served with linguini. Fantastic shrimp, scallops, lobster, mussels and clams. One of my favorite Italian dishes I’ve had in a while. The broth on the langoustines was really good. The linguini were perfect and it wasn’t a huge portion, just enough. I really enjoyed this meal at the Smithville Inn.
According to Love Food, their pick for Best Italian Restaurant in New Jersey is Middlesex County. by Catherine Lombardi in New Brunswick was their pick for Best Italian Restaurant in Jersey. Based on the article by Catherine Lombardi “is named after the grandmother of owner Mark Pascal, who came from Naples in the United States. The menu is based on her recipes and customer favorites include garlic bread, spinach ravioli and fried mushrooms and calamari with sweet and spicy marinara.”
This restaurant looks fantastic and maybe if you take a trip to Rutgers University you can put dinner at Catherine Lombardi on your bucket list.
