SALISBURY – A nutritious stop is coming to downtown Salisbury on August 6 that offers healthy treats and meal replacements for any time of the day.
Mariah Bosworth had a vision for her boutique on East Innes Street after moving to Rowan County last December. Originally from Wilmington, Salisbury’s rich history inspired her to open her shop offering healthy shakes and baked goods, with an interior featuring a modern Victorian aesthetic. Wallace Realty offered him “the perfect place to shop.”
The idea of opening a gourmet cafe was originally an idea that was a joke for Bosworth. She had tried a fruity rock shake from Steadfast Nutrition in Wilmington that wowed her taste buds while being good for her.
“I kind of said ‘I could do that’ as a joke,” Bosworth said. “But I started thinking about it and I was like, ‘why can’t I do this? “”
Meanwhile, her husband accepted a job offer in Salisbury which brought the Bosworth family to the town. Victor Wallace showed them around downtown, and that only made the Soulfull Nutrition founder even more in love with the area. After months of research, Alyssa Hunter, owner of Steadfast Nutrition in Wilmington, came on board in May to help kickstart the boutique’s journey with Wallace Realty.
Bosworth signed the lease in June, and with the help of financing and construction by the real estate company, the finishing touches are all that’s left to prepare for the grand opening. Doors will open at 10 a.m. on August 6 and there will be giveaways for customers while Bosworth accepts job applications.
Community members can expect a wide variety of shakes with customizable options to suit their health needs. Vitamin, collagen, and fat burner scoops can be added to any item on the extensive beverage options menu. A unique feature includes “charged teas” which are packed with antioxidants, caffeine, and fruit juices.
The treat lineup doesn’t stop at sip items. Dairy-free desserts such as protein cake pops and donuts, yogurt parfaits and waffles are also available for a snack. In the future, Bosworth plans to add vegan foods to matcha tea. A full menu can be found by scanning the QR code found on the company’s Instagram, @soulfullnutrition.nc and his Facebook page.
Athletes will also benefit from East Innes Street coffee thanks to Herbalife 24 products such as pre-workout and protein powders. Skincare can also be ordered through the company.
The shop will include a kids’ corner with toys and activities to keep them entertained while adults lounge on sofas and perch at tables to relax. The vision board on the Facebook page features a color palette of pale grays and pinks with floral accents for peaceful feng shui.
For Bosworth, his passion and enthusiasm for Soulfull Nutrition was his favorite part of the process.
“I’m so happy to really share who I am through this store,” she said. “It’s girly, wholesome and something I can call mine.”
The boutique is always looking for employees and also offers internship opportunities for those interested in business, marketing or nutrition.
