REVIEW: We celebrated Earth Day with a fabulous plant-based Wall-E Boots dessert at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

There are few better places to celebrate Earth Day at Walt Disney World than at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and to mark the occasion, The Mara is offering an all-new dessert!
Plant (based) in the boot – $6.99
Chocolate spice cake with coconut ganache and an edible sprout in a chocolate boot
Savvy Pixar fans will easily recognize that the treat looks like the plant in a boot seen in WALL-E.
The boot is covered in chocolate “earth” which adds to the beautiful design.
The design of the boot is set in chocolate.
We will be going to the Mara again and again for this treat. The chocolate spice cake is light and fluffy with just the right amount of spice.
The cake crumbles and looks like dirt. The boot itself is dark chocolate, which is very rich, so we recommend having some water with that.
The ingredients list “coconut ganache”, but we couldn’t taste any coconut. All in all, this is a super cute and super yummy treat for Earth Day.
