
Parlor Donuts will open its first northeast Florida location next month in northwest St. Johns County.
Known for his layered donuts and coffee, the 3-year-old Evansville, Ind. handmade donut and coffee concept will take over from the old Twisted Compass Brewing Co. cafe at 585 SR 13, Suite 101 at Fruit Cove.
The owners of the Twisted Compass announced in a social media post In late March, they were going to move their 4-year-old coffee shop to the area’s first Parlor Donuts, one of more than 20 locations open or under development, including three in Panhandle, Florida, according to the Parlor website.
Parlor donuts aren’t your typical cake or yeast doughnut. Parlor donuts are layered donuts, made with layers of buttery batter fried to be crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside.

Donuts are made to order in small batches and customized with a variety of toppings, resulting in over two dozen donut flavors ranging from Plain Jane to Maple Pecan to Glazed Honey to Cream Cookie N’ Cream, Caramel Bliss, Coconut Cream Filled and more. . There are also Keto and gluten-free and vegan options. And for your pup, there’s even the Doggie Donut.
In addition to donuts, Parlor offers a variety of other breakfast options, including avocado toast, egg and bacon breakfast sandwiches, chorizo breakfast tacos, breakfast -spinach and pesto breakfast etc.
Also on the menu are more than 20 Doughboy milkshakes, with flavors ranging from French toast, bourbon caramel, churro, strawberry shortcake, Dreamsicle, raspberry and more.
