SHSAA celebrates Giving Tuesday
The Salem High School Alumni Association will celebrate Giving Tuesday with a Quaker Sam-themed campaign, joining millions of people around the world taking part in the global giving movement on November 29. Giving Tuesday unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. It was launched in 2012 with a simple idea: create a day that encourages people to do good and donate to positive causes. Over the past 10 years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or a stranger, supporting an issue people are passionate about, or giving to a cause close to your heart, every act of generosity matters. SHSAA will encourage alumni and friends to donate to a Quaker Sam initiative to be announced before Giving Tuesday.
