On the way to the Orpheum? CIMASthe restaurant of Hyatt Centric Beale Street hotel, offers a new Broadway show-themed menu to help you start the show earlier.
The “Cocks, Curtain, Action!” the theater menu will be available each night there is a show in town for the Orpheum 2022 season. The culinary team has created special menus and cocktails that reflect the show. Each menu will include a specialty cocktail, starter and dessert.
“It’s a way for us to celebrate the return of live theater and highlight our proximity to the Orpheum – 0.2 miles to be exact,” said Colin Maxwell, director of marketing and communications at Hyatt Centric Beale. Street Memphis. “It’s something extra to offer theatergoers that incorporates a creative twist into the pre-theater dinner.”

The hotel’s culinary team researched this year’s Broadway season shows at the Orpheum, identifying the most popular songs, themes and quotes from each show.
For “CATS” (which runs until March 27), a “Rum Tum Tugger” rum-based cocktail is on the menu, along with Cornmeal Crusted Catfish.
“We thought about what the street cats would eat — fish of course,” executive chef Adam Arencibia said of the catfish dish that accompanies braised collard greens, sweet corn porridge and coulis of Red peppers.
A “Mr. Mistoffelees Tuxedo Cake is the featured dessert.” Mister. Mistoffelees is a tuxedo cat, so we serve a tuxedo cake for dessert,” Maxwell said.
For the “Million Dollar Quartet”, a “Hound Dog” hot dog and a “Great Balls of Fire” meatball pasta dish will be offered.
“In ‘Mean Girls,’ Regina George says, ‘Never mind, I’m getting cheese fries,’ so we decided to serve cheese fries for the next ‘Mean Girls’ menu,” Maxwell said.
CIMAS will present the program “Bites, Curtain, Action!” theater options for Broadway’s 2022 season, which runs through June.

CIMAS opened in April 2021 in the Hyatt Centric Beale Street in downtown Memphis. The restaurant, with indoor and outdoor terrace, offers a breathtaking view of the Mississippi River.
