Here’s how to do it:
- Prepare cake pops according to recipe using chocolate cake mix and chocolate frosting.
- To make the bat wings, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave until smooth. Spoon bat wing shapes onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. (They don’t have to be perfect!) Put the cookie sheet in the fridge to set up the wings. After cooling, gently peel off the wings from the parchment paper. (Reserve some of the melted chocolate to attach the wings, ears and eyes.)
- Put the chocolate cake balls in a serving dish. Using the reserved melted chocolate, attach two chocolate chips for the ears, attach the edible eyes, and carefully attach the wings.
