Enjoy a little taste of Korea with these tasty tteokbokki recipes

delicious Korean street food is no stranger to ICT Tac, and tteokbokki definitely takes the rice cake. A quintessential comfort food, tteokbokki traditionally consists of Korean rice cakes (tteoks) cooked in a soft and spicy sauce. Sometimes called Korean pasta, tteokbokki is rich in flavor and easy to modify, making it a favorite among creatives. ICT Tac cooks. If you’re in the mood for something sweet and spicy, here are five delicious tteokbokki receipts to help you get started.

An infusion of milk and heavy cream makes this rosé tteokbokki deliciously creamy. Start by soaking the tteok rice cakes in lukewarm water. Next, brown the minced mini sausages onions and chopped Garlic in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Then pour in the milk and heavy cream, and mix with the gochujang and curry powder. Mix tteok rice cakes as well as Korean fish cakes. Finally, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

This tteokbokki Recipe offers a homemade version of tteok rice cakes. First Cup the hot dogs half. Then remove their natural envelope. Next, soak a sheet of rice paper in water and place it on a cutting board. Wait eight seconds. Then tightly wrap a hot half dog. Repeat this process with your favorite cheese and the rest warm dogs. Add the rice paper cheese and hot dogs in a pan with water, followed by a sauce made with gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and water. Cook for about seven minutes before serving with chopped green onions.

Tteokbokki can also make a great dessert! For this recipe, start by soaking the tteok rice cakes in warm water for an hour if they are not fresh. Then brown the tteok rice cakes in a wok with rapeseed and sesame oil for about seven to eight minutes. Once crispy, remove the tteok rice cakes from the heat and coat them with a mixture of sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Finally, serve with melted caramel and apple slices, and enjoy!

If you prefer to keep your food cold, you’ll definitely want to try this non-spicy tteokbokki. First, add the water, light soy sauce, and sugar to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Next, add the raw bulgogi, followed by the minced potatoessliced zucchini, narutomaki (fish paste) and sausages. Then cover the pan and simmer before adding Korean fish cakes, mushrooms and tteok rice cakes. Finally, cover the pot again and bring to a simmer before garnishing with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

This honey butter tteokbokki combines two Korean culinary favorites in one amazing dish. Start by soaking the tteok rice cakes in water for 30 minutes, then drain them. Next, fry the tteok rice cakes in butter until golden brown. Sprinkle on some Honey, followed by sesame seeds. Then remove from the heat. Once cooled, transfer the tteokbokki to a serving platter. Then drizzle with more honey and enjoy!
