The taste test

We had the chance to taste the unique St Honoré. Elevete has added its own twist to the classic dessert originating from rue Saint-Honoré in Paris.

The cake comes with French cream puffs filled with coffee cream and fluffy salted caramel, a base of peanut butter feuilletine, a fluffy chocolate cake in the middle and lots of mascarpone mousse vanilla.

As someone with a sweet tooth, I find St Honoré mild on the sweet side. This is the perfect cake for anyone who loves peanut butter because the peanut butter base covers the chocolate cake taste.

The coffee cream puffs inside give a delicious burst of flavor to contrast the peanut butter and vanilla mascarpone mousse.

The verdict

The beautiful cake is sure to grab the attention of guests as it is arranged like a castle with French cream puffs, fluffy salted caramel and mascarpone mousse.

This will definitely be a hit for anyone who loves peanut butter and doesn’t like to end up with huge, dense cakes.

It’s also easy to cut the cake into 8 pretty pieces thanks to the soft peanut butter base. As a guide, you just need to cut following the individual cream puffs at the bottom.

However, the box it comes in is quite tall (about 18cm tall and wide), you may want to measure your fridge space before purchasing.
